Tutorial how to install ChobitsDigitalisV1.2 ROM on samsung galaxy y As you know that some times before i have written a post how to install creed's rom on galaxy y So here we are going to show you how to install ChobitsDigitalisV1.2 ROM (it is a modified rom) so that you can achive new look and feel on galaxy y s5360. Here we are just going to provide you a tutorial and link to the required files the original credit goes to HCFroyd247 from xda who make it possible for all to have new look and feel on galaxy y to certain extent. Installation

Tutorial how to install ChobitsDigitalisV1_ROM on galaxy y
Sure to back up your data (recommended) before you proceed to next step.

Work on stock rom.
Download ChobitsDigitalisV1_ROM.zip from this Here
Now place your downloaded file to root directory of your sd card.
Now switch off your phone and boot in recovery mode. By pressing this keys together (Volume UP + Home Button + Power Button). Touch screen becomes function less in recovery mode so use volume up & down to move up and down and home key for making selection

Now first of you have to Select wipe data and select the yes.

Next Select "cache partition"

Now after data wipe and clearing cache partition select 'apply update from sdcard' in recovery menu and select the file that you downloaded and placed on root directory of your sd card and select yes
After file gets installed you will return to main menu of recovery mode. Now select “reboot system now” from the menu and your phone will reboot it may take few minutes.

Once it fully loaded,after reboot tap "Menu + Preferences + Backup/Restore + Reset to default" to ensure that you have the default desk settings loaded.

Now update to ChobitsDigitalisV1.2 ROM

This update can be only apply to ChobitsDigitalisV1_ROM do not try with other rom.

How to update

Reboot and enter Stock recovery by pressing this keys together (Volume UP + Home Button + Power Button) no need to wipe data.Select update from sd card and select CDigitalisV1.2_UPD.zip when update complete reboot.

Update AT&T Galaxy Note I717 {with ICS 4.0.3 UCLC5 Firmware}

Hi Friends are u waiting to get an ICS update for your Samsung Galaxy Note I717 powered by at&t  now update your devices just with a simple tutorial. The build number of firmware which got leaked is the IML74K and the firmware version is dubbed as UCLC5 and is the ICS 4.0.3 firmware version. Please note that this is not an official firmware version released by Samsung or at&t, also we don’t have any ETA on by when there will be an official update of ICS.

Rooting Information: Applying this update doesn’t mean that you need to root the device before & also the device will not get rooted after applying this update. Just in case if your device is rooted, after applying this update the rooting access will be revoked. We will soon come up with the rooting process at the earliest.

Caution: Apart from Galaxy Note I717, no other model should be applied with this update.

Compulsory Pre Requisites:
Download the ICS 4.0.3 Firmware Package from here to your computer.
We recommend you to back up all the data present in your device with the help of below mentioned steps. Don’t use KIES to back up the data as it will not support the phone after this update since it’s a leaked ROM firmware.


Backup your SMS ,Contacts,Call Log
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
Minimum charge left in the phone should be 70% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. (If you don’t follow this step then the chances are more that your phone may get DEAD for which we should not be responsible).
Disable all the security suites installed in your computer and uninstall all antivirus tools in your computer so as to ensure that the firmware update is not interrupted in the middle of the process.
Enable the USB debugging in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked. USB Debugging Mode can only be enabled once you disconnect the phone from computer. USB Debugging should be ticked.

 
So, assuming that you have followed all the above mentioned instructions, you can now proceed to the next where we have mentioned a detailed article on how to apply the firmware update with a detailed tutorial.


Procedure to Update Galaxy Note I717 with ICS 4.0.3 Firmware:
Double click on the downloaded ICS I717 Firmware Package in your computer and once its opened, you need to turn off your phone so that you can then enter your device in the download mode.


Download mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the download mode.
Connect your Phone to the computer with the Original USB cable and then you will see that the ID: COM section will turn Yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully updated.

Note: if the ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check with two things which are mentioned below,
Install the USB Drivers in your computer &
Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.


Now, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update and once the firmware is updated successfully the device will be rebooted successfully. Once you see the home screen, you now need to remove the connected USB cable and turn Off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.
Recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the recovery mode.
In recovery mode, select options Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition after which you need to reboot your device by selecting “reboot system now” after which all the cache files will get deleted.
